Windsurfing: Shoreham Wind Direction: SW-WSW Wind Stength: F5 Surf / Sea State: Chest high waves Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered:
I had a great little session at Shoreham. Limited time so hence rapid
arrival and departure. Three others out.
Great conditions, felt better than usual because the surface of the water
was smooth and groomed. It was a joy to swing into a gybe or wave turn
because it was just sculpted in front of you. Down the line was harder than
usual becasue there was a bit of west direction to the swell, it was kind
of rolling with the wind a bit. As a result each wave needed to be a series
of connected mini-waves. You had to sort of get over a little ridge every
few turns to keep moving with the steep bit. STill when you got it right
it just opened up for harmless lip bashing. Most rides were in the 1-2-3
foot range, with the occasional taller bit where the wave first peaked
up.
Sunny throughout, good happy company and nice conditions.
